We are excited to announce that our solar modules are now driving innovation in sustainable agriculture. CETC-RedSolar, in partnership with a leading livestock enterprise, has successfully connected a 6MW distributed photovoltaic project to the grid in Hainan. Located in Shunfa Livestock Park, Wengtian Town, Wenchang City, this project represents a significant breakthrough in the integration of solar energy with livestock farming.
The project utilizes the pioneering 'power generation on top, farming below' model, which is designed to maximize both ecological and economic benefits. By generating approximately 7.6 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, it not only supports a substantial increase in pork production but also contributes to significant environmental gains. The project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by around 7,581 tons each year, equivalent to planting 75,815 trees annually.
This collaboration underscores the potential of solar technology to transform traditional farming practices, offering a sustainable solution that benefits both the environment and the economy. CETC-Red Solar is proud to be at the forefront of this innovative approach, leading the way in creating a greener and more sustainable future for the livestock industry.
